This Cookie Policy explains how Harel Levy, doing business as OTRERA ("OTRERA," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on our website and quiz, and how you can control them. It is part of our Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored in your browser. Similar technologies, such as pixels, tags, and local storage, work in a similar way. We call all of them "cookies" in this policy.
2. Our approach
- Only strictly necessary cookies run before you choose. Analytics and advertising cookies stay off until you accept them in our cookie banner.
- Rejecting is as easy as accepting. The banner offers "Accept all" and "Reject all" buttons of equal size and prominence, plus a way to choose by category.
- We honor Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends a GPC signal, advertising cookies stay off for that browser, even if you click "Accept all."
- No health data goes to advertisers. Our cookies and pixels never send your quiz answers or any information about pain or injuries to Meta or any other advertising platform.
3. Categories of cookies we use
Strictly necessary (always on)
These make the website and quiz work. They remember your progress through the quiz, keep the site secure, and store your cookie choices. You cannot turn them off in our banner, but you can block them in your browser, and parts of the site may then stop working.
Analytics (off until you accept)
These help us understand how people use the website and quiz, such as which pages they visit and where they stop, so we can improve them. If we use a session-recording tool, such as Microsoft Clarity or Hotjar, it records clicks, taps, and scrolling, and we configure it to mask quiz answers and anything you type, so recordings do not capture what you answered.
Advertising (off until you accept)
We use the Meta Pixel to measure whether our ads on Facebook and Instagram work and to show our ads to people who may be interested. If you accept advertising cookies, the Pixel sends Meta only:
- a generic page-view event (that a page loaded);
- a generic sign-up ("Lead") event, with no details, when you submit your email; and
- standard browser data, such as your IP address, cookie identifiers, browser type, and the page address. Our page addresses do not contain health terms.
We do not use Meta's Conversions API or Advanced Matching, and we never send Meta your email, your quiz answers, or any health information. Meta uses this data under its own privacy policy.
Under some state laws, this use of advertising cookies may count as "sharing" personal information or "targeted advertising." You can opt out at any time, as described below.
